History
The “Flying Squirrels” organization was originally chartered in 1965. The organization is dedicated to the promotion of aviation by providing an economical means for young adults to learn to fly. Members of the organization are responsible for contributing to the cost of maintaining the aircraft on a per hour basis. This contribution helps defray the cost of expenses such as fuel and basic maintenance items. “Major” maintenance and repair expenses are covered by fund raising projects and by the generous contributions made by our sponsors.
