Membership Info

In order to become a member of Explorer post 2657, you must be at least 14 years old, but no older than 18 years and still in high school. Once registered, you may remain a member until 21. membership is open to both males and females, even though exploring is sponsored by the Boy Scouts.

Not all members that join work towards getting a pilot's license. instead, they are interested in aviation and join to learn more about it. Even if you do not want to fly, we welcome you to join to learn more about aviation.

Annual registration with the boy scouts is $7.00.

Monthly Dues to the club are $5.00.

Average cost of ground school materials is $100.00.

Flight costs consist of:

AIRPLANE RATES:

• Regular Member (Student)  $45/hour.

• Regular Member (Private) and Reserve Member  $70/hour.

INSTRUCTION RATES (per agreement with independent instructors):

• Regular Member (Student)  $25/hour.

• Regular Member (Private) and Reserve Member  $30/hour.
